Styrene-Butadiene Rubber (SBR) is widely used as binder for battery anode preparation. Compared with PVDF, it has higher flexibility, stronger binding force, and higher heat resistance. It is soluble in environmental friendly solvents such as water and ethylacetate, being an option of choice particularly for the anode side. Typically used with Carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) (also available), it is a fairly common choice in silicon based electrodes. Specifications:
